KS1 and KS2 Chocolate
Essential information
Maximum group size 15, £45 fee, 35-minute workshop.
The event
Follow the journey of chocolate from the Mayans to the confectioners of Norwich! Learn about the origins of chocolate and its cultural significance to the Mayan people and early Europeans. Track the arrival of chocolate in Europe and its development from drinking chocolate to chocolate bars, and discover more about chocolate-making in Norwich. Plus find out about the kinds of chocolate that are currently available and - most importantly! - taste different types. (Please note that we cannot guarantee that the tasting samples are free of allergens, including nuts.)
For larger groups, the workshop can be run multiple times, with groups not in the session being self-led around the museum. The museum is small, so a total group size of 45 is preferable.
